    Namaste….. Please note that next week there will be one session only, Tuesday, 1st June,  6.30pm to 7.30pm via Zoom, Yoga & More, it’s £8, payment in the normal way. 
    I leave for France (all being well) early Thursday morning and once installed with stable internet, I hope to be able to offer a timetable via zoom from there.
    Sunday morning Meditate Together will go ahead (30th May, 9.30am) as usual, and, so long as the internet is working in the deep Burgundy countryside, sessions will resume again from the 6th June, I will keep you posted!
    It would be lovely, (again, subject to signal) to take you all for a walk in the beautifully remote French countryside with me….let’s see how the technology works for that!!

    All our virtual gatherings online this year have been a source of nourishment and connection to many of us during these lockdowns, and I am very happy to announce that we will not miss out on our usual Charity Donation Event this year, despite all the uncertainty, this will go ahead…..ONLINE.

    So please do book your virtual space, and let’s immerse ourselves in a reflective journey together.

    We will begin the evening with an Opening Circle Meditation moving into Restorative Yoga to replenish and finishing the evening with integration and deepening through Yoga Nidra…..

    The Season of Autumn from the Wisdom of Chinese Medicine

    After an extended break I’m pleased to announce the informal chats on all things Chinese medicine are making a comeback! 

    You are warmly invited to join me on the first Monday of the month for a free online chat. We will cover a different topic each month and there is no need to book, just click on the link to join just before the session begins. 

    This Monday, 2ndNovember 2020 at 6.30pm we are taking a look at the season of autumn and how it connects with Chinese medicine. Autumn is all about the element of Metal, the energy of the Lung and its partner, the Large Intestine. 

    In nature it’s the season of the beautiful colours and fallen leaves, cooling temperatures and longer nights. For us, as with nature, it’s a time for moving inwards, nourishing self and casting off what’s no longer required. Get to know how to live in balance during the autumn months with some simple food choices and acupressure points to nourish your Lung energy.

    A Whistlestop Tour of the Principles of Chinese Medicine!

    This Monday, 24th August, at 9.30am, we are taking an introductory look at how Chinese medicine developed, and the foundations of its theory. We will be exploring the notion of qi, yin yang, and the energic function of the organ system in Chinese medicine theory. The subject is vast, so this is very much a brief foray, and an introduction to future Chinese medicine chats.

    Chinese Herbs as Food Medicine

    This Monday, 17th August, at 9.30am, we are taking a final look at some Chinese herbs which can be used in cooking or drunk as a tea. They are all simple foodstuffs, but with extra special properties. Some you will have heard of, others less so, but all available here in the UK. Learn about their energetic actions, and how to use them for best effect. This week we will be looking at Cong Bai, (spring onions to you and I), Sheng Jiang (ginger), and Gui Zhi (cinnamon), plus others. We will also be chatting about my favourite Ju Hua (chrysanthemum flowers) which can be enjoyed as a tea, and is especially delicious with Gou Qi Zi (goji berries) for added fruity flavour!

  • Bone Scan Clinic & Educational Talk

    OSTEOSCAN UK SCANNING CLINIC & EDUCATIONAL TALK with Dr Nick Birch Spinal Surgeon and Orthopaedic Consultant

    Talk – Thursday, 26th November 6.30pm to 7.30pm

    Understand what osteoporosis is and how it develops. Find out the huge variety of risk factors for this disease and the medical, dietary, exercise and lifestyle changes that can help to prevent it, slow it’s progression and manage it. This event will include a demonstration of the quick, safe, simple and painless EchoS scanning process. The talk will be delivered by Dr Nick Birch.

    Tickets to the Educational Talk are £15 and numbers are limited. Call Jayne on 07805 039 099 to book your place.  If you attend the talk and subsequently book yourself in for a scan, the cost of your ticket can be offset against the deposit payment for the scan.

    Scanning ClinicMonday, 14th December 10.30am to 4.30pm

    EchoS is a radiation-free, diagnostic scanning device developed in Italy which gives access to earlier measurement of bone mineral density than DEXA, with immediate, easy-to understand results, including your 

    Z-score and T-score. Results are used, with other parameters, to calculate your FRAX score – an accurate prediction of your 10 year probability of suffering a major osteoporotic fracture.

    The 30 min appointments will be conducted by Dr Nick Birch, Dr Nick Birch, Spinal Surgeon and Orthopaedic Consultant. Both your lumbar spine and hip will be scanned. Full results of the scan will be discussed and advice given which is personalised and tailored to your needs.

    Scan fee £150. A non-refundable deposit of £25.00 secures your appointment, book with Jayne. Balance payment is due a week before the appointment.

    We invite you to come and join us overnight, for an evening of rest and renewal, delving into mindfulness, meditation, movement, through Yoga, Somatics, Qi Gong resting in silence, including a Japanese Tea Ceremony, Tales of Tao, Yoga Nidra, Breath and Chakra awareness…..

    Alison Seymour, Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist will take us through the wisdom of Chinese Medicine with the flow and balance of meridians, with acupressure points to awaken the senses or promote rest and Tales of the Tao…

    Not only will this be a beautiful way of preparing for the turning point of the Summer Solstice, but also an opportunity to reconnect and discover your inner wisdom, use the energy of the New Moon to settle the mind and to release that which no longer serves us, whilst raising money for our chosen Charity this year, The Butterfly Hospice.

    In these “physical distance” days we would like to invite you for ‘”Chanting OM Online’’ gathering on Thursday evenings via Zoom.

    As we are going through an isolation period our purpose as OM Chanting organisers is to create a connection and simply be there for each other while chanting OM and sharing experiences. This opportunity has been given to us by Paramahamsa Vishwananda grace as an alternative due to the circumstances until the situation gets back to normal and we resume with our regular Om Chanting groups.

    EDUCATIONAL EVENT – Friday 29thMay 2020 – 7pm-8.30pm, Tickets £15

    Understand what osteoporosis is and how it develops. Find out the huge variety of risk factors for this disease and the medical, dietary, exercise and lifestyle changes that can help to prevent it, slow it’s progression and manage it. This event will include a demonstration of the quick, safe, simple and painless EchoS scanning process. The talk will be delivered by Nick Birch, Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Specialist.

    Tickets to the Educational Talk are £15 and numbers are limited. Call Jayne on 07805 039 099  to book your place.  If you attend the talk and subsequently book yourself in for a scan, the cost of your ticket can be offset against the deposit payment for the scan.

    SCANNING CLINIC – Friday, 12thJune 10.30am to 4pm

    EchoS is a radiation-free, diagnostic scanning device developed in Italy which gives access to earlier measurement of bone mineral density than DEXA, with immediate, easy-to understand results, including your Z-score and T-score. Results are used, with otherparameters, to calculate your FRAX score – an accurate prediction of your 10 year probability of suffering a major osteoporotic fracture.

    The 30 min appointments will be conducted by Nick Birch. Both your lumbar spine and hip will be scanned. Full results of the scan will be discussed and advice given which is personalised and tailored to your needs.

    Scan fee £150. A non-refundable deposit of £25.00 secures your appointment, call us now. Balance payment is due a week before the appointment.
